Went to Emergency room on Wednesday night, excruciating pain! Was admitted that same night. From the moment I walked in, I was treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. The nurses were all exceptional ? and the technicians as well! My doctors were very knowledgeable and very patient. They listened to everything I had to say. My room was immaculate every day, thanks to the great housekeeping staff. Overall, an A+!!! The level of care I was given was ABOVE & BEYOND!!!

*UPDATE: I ended up waiting 3 hours for a cardiac workup. Turns out that there was a system outage going on, so the emergency care team was having to do everything on paper. It messed up everything, and now the staff is showing signs of burnout. The ER physician was good, and i was admitted. Had no sleep given how slow every action took delayed me from getting into a room somewhere between 5-6 a.m.*

Not sure how this ER has any positive reviews but my experience was i went in with cardiac problems - chest pain, L shoulder and arm pain, left side of face tingling/numb, center of sternum has strong pain that comes and goes. It's hard to breathe when it happens. So dizzy and so fatigued. So that means that the ER has to do an ECG and blood work immediately! 2 hours waiting so far, and the nurse in triage has not seen me at all. I'm just sitting here waiting for my heart to fail at this point. I'm pretty sure if I collapsed, they'd just push my body aside. They have others out here who have been waiting for many hours. I have also witnessed people being called back and then dumped back out in the waiting room again. This is insanity for a hospital like this. So I feel neglected and in danger of getting seriously ill from an untreated heart condition.

The ER responds quickly but then ignores your issues, nurses talk about you outside of the room like you can’t hear them. They didn’t let me see a doctor on Friday and what little they did do, made my condition worse and I had to return Saturday morning. Saw a doctor Saturday morning but he didn’t seem the least bit concerned. The man nurse didn’t seem to believe anything, refused to acknowledge anything I said and made me feel uncomfortable. I didn’t want to just stop by your ER for a visit, with a $300 min copay, let alone, 2 days in a row……. I still am not doing well but will NOT be returning to your hospital for help if I have a say in the situation.
Saturday was the 3rd strike for St. Joseph- I’ve been overdosed in the ER and left in the waiting room alone and now it was 2 days of not actually being helped while listening to the doctor and nurses talk crap about me and other patients- we can hear through curtains.
Help yourself people and choose another ER if you actually need help.

Came in with really bad chest pains and they wasted 0 time to see me and get me checked out and a med room asap this is by far the best emergency room I’ve ever had to visit and I strongly suggest if you need help going here. Over all Very clean and sanitary, full of professionalism everywhere you look and kind soft doctors and nurses to help you and make sure you’re going to be ok Big thanks guys!

This is my go-to hospital in the region—despite the fact that I literally live across the street from a much bigger hospital. I also choose St. Joseph over the next-closest hospital to me. St. Joseph is what I would call a “destination” hospital because it’s worth the extra effort of getting there. Plus, the doctors, nurses, CNAs and administrative staff comprise the best hospital team I've encountered in nearly 60 years.

Ewa is the best doctor Ive had the pleasure of being able to see on two different occasions. She is kind, understanding, knowledgable, and listens to everything you say, before evem getting started. Thank you Ewa, you give me hope in the medical field.
