I don't even know how to file a complaint but let me just let you know right now right before shift change at 11:45 today I believe she may have been a Spanish woman at the desk But Not only was she rude with her attitude she shoved my vase back into my hand and then try to tell the switching co-worker I push it to her then back co-workers started laughing and she was a black woman they would not give me their names what type of atmosphere is this this is a hospital this woman needs a talking to that is so uncalled for talk about a misfit in disguise. I will be filing a complaint with the ago

This place is HORRIBLE!!! I've been waiting for over 3 hours to be seen. No vitals taken, no blood taken, no tests taken. The staff have been laughing, joking, and playing around with each other. To get here at 9:30pm, checked in about 45 or 50 minutes later, and at 12:50am, still have not been taken in the back or been seen by a doctor is ridiculous! At 1:10am, while still waiting to be taken in the back to be seen by a doctor, they decide to finally draw some blood, but tells me I "still have to wait some more before a room is available or a doctor comes to see me in the waiting room, whichever comes first."The emergency room isn't even half full. The lack of decorum and professionalism here is saddening. It's literally going to take someone to die waiting for them to do their job, for this low budget place to get their act together. A total of 9+ hours in this bootleg poor excuse of an emergency room, all for them to give me my discharge papers without the doctor coming to explain my test results. Terrible is an understatement!!!

I read all the bad reviews on here before bringing my dear fiance’ in after she was not able to hold down liquids or food for 14 days. Our experience was as good as one could ask for during a visit to the emergency room. Not an easy time for anyone but BIDMC has my respect and recommendation.

We were treated kindly, with dignity and respect. The wait time was not as bad as other hospitals we’ve been to in previous years with the same issue (not more than 3-4 hours before getting into a bed hooked up to an IV) . The chairs in the waiting area are comfy and there’s a coffee shop right across from the waiting area with restrooms close by. We didn’t feel neglected or not taken seriously or anything like what some of these other reviews imply..

When it was our turn, a friendly nurse escorted us along with 2 other groups of people into a curtained area with a bed and given IV fluids and medication, after an hour or two my girl was feeling better and the doctors made sure to give her some pretzels, applesauce and ginger ale to make sure she still felt okay eating food before we left and they sent us home with a prescription. From what we could see, everyone who came in around the same time as us were also treated kindly and with respect.

A part of me is hesitant to leave this review painting such a good picture of our experience, in fear that maybe the next time we go, it will be more crowded with longer wait times once the word gets out that BIDMC has the best ER in the city, but wouldn’t that be selfish of me to not share my experience, and what are reviews for? People sharing their experience with other people to make for a better world, right!? This is the spot.

If we ever do need to go to another ER in the city this would definitely be our only choice. Thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff for treating my girl so well and thank you for all the good work you do taking care of the good people of this great city. ?

It's Odd, but my experience was the opposite of everyone else's. It took about 30 minutes to get in. I had seen 3 different doctors within an hour. The nurses and staff treated me with kindness and respect. And they provided quick and comprehensive treatment. I had a serious issue. If you have a serious issue that needs immediate attention then please go. Otherwise go to urgent care! I recommend carbon health which Is nearby!

My visit to Beth Israel ER today really restored my faith in healthcare. When I said that I was really saddened by the healthcare after having the worst experience that had been followed by a number of bad experiences at another Boston hospital. I came here today and from the reception desk to the nurses, everyone was so nurturing, attentive, and professional. Really going out of their way to help patients. The way the health care is supposed to look. I really thank you Beth Israel.

Took my Dad to the ER with a referral from another hospital because they felt Beth Israel could better assist. WRONG! Never coming back here and will direct others to another hospital. Post Covid EVERYTHING seems to have gone down hill. No Compassion and Time Management with the employees working for this Company. Sad that on top of all of this you have to PAY to go to a HOSPITAL. A place that is suppose to help yet it is hurting the people that is caring for the patient and bringing them in. This definitely needs to be addressed and changed. Awful, Horrible, Unnecessary and Unacceptable treatment. No, I don't want to reach out to Patients Services because NOTHING is improving, the cycle gets repeated over and over. HIRE MORE PEOPLE PLEASE. QUICKLY help the patients move and be taken care of with kindness and love, that's what a genuinely wonderful and kind person does without any questions.

My mother spent two nights in the ER waiting for a bed at a rehab. A wonderful lady, Christine, found her a bed and called me everyday with a progress report which was so reassuring to me. Thanks to Christine. This place is tops.

The worst staff here and the worst experience I have ever had! My wife just gave birth six days ago and we went in because she doesn’t feel well and super dizzy, they got her in the room and left us alone for about 3hrs no Nurse came in to ask whats going on and no doctor, I started talking to them about the situation and after one hour the doctor came did the initial exam and left for another couple hours at the mean time no pain medication was administered or anything, Beka the nurse was racist towards my wife and I because of our religion background. This incident took time between 11pm-6:30am and thats how long we stayed at this ER terrible services, management and staff
