Hace una semana una una baja de potasio extrema que me provocó calambres espantosos, mientras iba a urgencias senti que estaba teniendo un acv, dejamos en auto en cualquier lado y mi esposo me ayudo a moverme pero era difícil, cuando llegamos a la cuadra del a Hospital mi esposo pidió a un paramedico que estaba ahí en una ambulancia que nos ayudara y rapidísimo el me trajo una silla de ruedas, no lo recuerdo pero si el llega a leer algún día esto y se acuerda de mi, gracias ❤️
Entre al hospital sin poder respirar y casi paralizada y obviamente súper asustada y me atendieron super pero súper rápido, mas se tardo en mostrar mi tarjeta, estaba muy desorientada yo pero ahora después de una semana me puedo acordar mas, los doctores fueron super amables y El enfermero James Young (en ese momento ya me sentí mejor asi que pude recordar su nombre:) me atendió y cuidó increíble y también pude observar cómo atendía a los demás pacientes, tiene un don increíble para esto, me dieron el alta el mismo día la noche, también quiero agradecer a los Señores policías que están en el tránsito afuera, ellos son una parte importante ya que es una zona concurrida y por ser un hospital, saben manejar perfectamente el trafico ahí, gracias
Ahora estoy mucho mejor y espero no volver a sentirme asi.❤️

I came with an egregious persistent cough in August 2024. I was told that the cause was acid reflux causing my cough and prescribed OTC gastric products. Dr. Mishra came by to “explain” their conclusion with an offhand, superior sounding “explanation” which I understood to be pedantic bilge. After about 3-1/2 hours I was discharged. I noticed that Dr. M. was pontificating to his medical colleagues in the area where they sat alongside their computers. As it turned out the cough became even worse, and I was prescribed Medrol and another prednisolone by a private practitioner. Guess what? The cough became worse and I had to go to emergency at yet another hospital. There, I was diagnosed —correctly I believe—with walking pneumonia and given antibiotics. I was also given some other medications for various bodily functions disrupted by this extended previous time of no treatment. After six difficult days I was discharged from this “other hospital.” I then did a follow up about eight days later at the same hospital where I had been in emergency. There was still too much “crackling” in my lungs and I was given additional medication to address that issue. Finally, after months of issues, I am returning to normal. My wife and I had previous good experiences —positive experiences —at NYU Langone, but this latest experience was the amateur hour on steroids. No middle aged experienced medical personnel were present in emergency except one older lady in, of all jobs, patient transport. Is this a result of medical workplace engineering under Obamacare (the Affordable Care Act)? Although we had two previous good experiences, I would hesitate before returning.

AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COST! They are students that have no idea what they are doing and have no experience. I came in for a severe pelvic pain and the doctors overlooked all the test results. I went to another hospital where they questioned me why I had to get all those tests done and why they gave me MORPHINE (an opioid). The other hospital helped me so much in 1 day than these doctors. They had “diagnosis” but none of them were true. The nurses have more experience and know more than the doctors!! Just go to another hospital if you want to live!

Rude at the entrance before you enter the ER. The only person that was kind was this soft spoken lady who wore her hair in braids. The Asian lady who wore the green uniform along with the 2 guards were rude. I went to grab a quick sandwich and drink for my mother. I let the lady in the green know that I will be right back, I' m getting my mom something to eat. She said ok but when you get back, you'll need a pass. One of the guards jump in and said that I need a pass after the female employee told me the same thing. Ok no problem. I went across the street to a deli and bought a sandwich and a drink for my mother since she will be spending overnight in the ER. I came back with my mother's and the lady with the braids was helping a guy and a woman typing some information on her computer. I signaled the lady in the green whom I spoke to about getting my mother's food and that is when the lady in the green barked at me to get behind the guy and the woman that was being helped. First of all, I understand that maybe she wanted me to check back in but there was no reason for her to be of voice. So when it was my turn the lady with braids ( who was very nice) asked if I needed help and I told that I spoke to her pointing to her coworker (lady in green) about getting food for my mother. I then turn to her coworker and said don't you remember I spoke to you about getting food for my mother? She responded " Oh, I see millions of faces." I then to her , " Ma'am, it's was only about 10 mins ago. Within 10 mins, how many people came up to you face to face to say that they are getting food for their mother " Then the lady in green ignored and continued to look at her screen. The lady with braids said they are going to you a pass. The guard look like he wanted to say something to me but didn't because he was biting his lips and wrote the date on a orange pass and gave it to me. Yea, Lutheran ER Admitting Team - You are working with the public in ER which is pretty stressful. Be more professional. Have a bit more compassion for the patients and their family. You'll never when it is you that will be on the other end of the table when you or your loved ones are admitted to the ER. Lutheran ER Admitting Staff- Do Better.

Worst hospital ever! Some staff are very disrespectful, place is disgusting and dirty especially bathrooms not sanitary at all. We love the Manhattan location and only go to that one but since we went to the ER in cobble hill first since it is quick they tried to send us too Manhattan but for some reason couldn’t so we had no choice. Never again will I allow my mom to go through this horrible experience again in this stupid location.

The hospital holds some beautiful people
doctors, nurses and security personnel. But this can be overseen. By a guard at the forefront of the hospitals establishment (Chris Riley) is a bald head Caucasian guy. That isn't educated enough to articulate functional words to properly communicate with others. So he talks aggressive, very rude and arrogantly to other. With the hospitals knowledge. Eventually this will land him, or the hospital in a undesirable situation. Thank Goodness for McFarquad and Habib... Although they were kind afterwards, The first situation left me with distasteful thought at NYU Langone Brooklyn. I believe the people positioned at the front of any establishment. Should be kind, assertive and most importantly welcoming to all groups of people... If NOT, people will be lead with the wrong impression. Or worst!

Attentive almost immediately but I felt as the night went on I had to f up a fracture turned into checking her heart but I know my Mother in good hands
