Came in at 7pm, no nurses in, maybe except for one receptionist. I needed help to bring my husband in because he can't walk and experience lots of pain and I am 8 months pregnant. I requested a gurney or wheel chair and she gave me a wheelchair and left me to it. Hard to get in, took a while to sign in even tho there was no one in the front waiting area. Then came in and waited longer. 8pm an assistant PA asked questions and maybe 15 min later the PA came. Routine stuff. But he is having a major migraine, knee pains, sore throat. They took his blood and swabs at 9.10pm but then didn't give him anything for pain because there was only 2 working nurses around (taking blood/giving saline). 930pm they gave him acetaminophen which didn't help. 10.15 pm the PA came back and said he looked better but he didn't. It's like she's gaslighting him to tell him how he should feel... which is uh... that's not how it works. Good news is that he tested negative on everything so bad news she is ruling it to be some unknown virus. He feels the same at the beginning, with all the pains and nausea, given nothing to soothe the pain. Not even his major nausea that he's experiencing. She said she would give Benadryl for migraines (seriously?). But hasn't been seen since 10.15-10.30pm...

At 12.30am we had to request them to discharge him because he was ignored completely. No one checked on him, no one gave him further medication to help with his pain level.

All in all, This emergency room is severely understaffed and really needs to step up. They left an older lady patient next to us in urine because they do not have enough nurses..

Very unwelcoming facility. Staff act like they don’t want to be there. It’s a shame, these people are here to help and save the public not give mean mugging and bothered looks. You can hear them gossiping and seemingly doing nothing.

We came in at 230am, no sign of anybody in the ER and most definitely no staff! Someone could be bleeding to death and they’ll take their sweet time coming to the desk. The front desk lady was smoking right outside the ER doors. Just nasty. Terrible hospital, terrible hospitality, no compassion here. Better off taking the extra drive elsewhere.

Place is dirty as hell too!!! I should call the state to give them a survey

It’s an emergency room that lacks urgency. Barely any staff available to speak to. I waited 5 hours just to be tossed into a room for another hour and no one even bothered. “It was crazy in here today” is all they’re good at saying. Don’t be a nurse if you can’t handle the pressure.

Gross - does this meet CDC compliance? Floor is disgusting. No supervision- which later I found out was by design.

The nurse doctors at this hospital are particularly good! After I went in, various doctors and nurses took care of me! And I will send me to the single ward to take care of me! I am a Chinese, I never thought that there would be such treatment in the hospital! Although my boyfriend came to the hospital to take care of me, they will also give my boyfriend a sofa to let my boyfriend take a rest! Really this hospital is great! I will remember to take care of all my doctors and nurses in the 211 ward! thank you all!

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I needed an IV and was in a lot of pain. They took me right away and was in and out in about 90 minutes. Thank you so much!

The emergency took a little longer than expected. However, it seems to be the norm in RI. This hospital called us inside, took vital signs and went straight to business. They knew exactly what to do. Dr. Noel and Nurse Jeff were awesome. The night receptionists were very welcoming. I would definitely recommend this place. Great hospital, they need to renovate and open up the ER.
