WORST EMERGENCY HOSPITAL EVER!! WORST STAFFS AND DISRESPECTFUL TREATMENT!!!! First of all I came here +5 times and I had to wait more than 6 hours to see someone. The staff are rude and unprofessional, none of them even wear masks and it is a hospitals requirement, the bathrooms are disgusting and apparently haven’t been cleaned in weeks. The front staff are not trained to speak with the patients, they are rude and disrespectful, the last time I was with my father he had all heart attack feelings, headaches, body shaking and he was passing out constantly, HE HAD TO WAIT 4 HOURS TO SEE A NURSE AND IT IS BECAUSE I WAS CRAZY AT THE RECEPTION ALL THE TIME ASKING FOR HELP AND THEY TOLD ME “IF HE FELL ON THE FLOOR THEN HE WILL NEED TO STAY THERE BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE A ROOM FOR HIM!” It is of extremely importance that we as Massachussets residents have a least respect and a basic emergency hospital that can be properly used!!! No one that has been at this hospital and I got the change to speak with has a good experience. We look for a hospital in our weak moments and we hope find treatment and comfort, but the reality is this place is a mess and no one cares about anything. This is ridiculous to have to drive more than an hour to find a good hospital just because you are not treated correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had the worst doctor I ever met when I went here in October 2024. He didn’t come in for 2 hrs and he told me he wouldn’t do a CT because it costs them thousands .. not something you tell a patient who’s in pain! Overworked , understaffed - very sad. The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the nurses in telemetry when I had an inpatient stay were AMAZING!! But this review is specifically to notify Umass that the ED department needs some serious revamping of care …put patients before $$! And hire some compassionate MDs!

If you need orthopedic trauma surgery leave this region. DONT EVEN TRY SAINT VINCENTS EITHER!!!
This hospital doesnt even run on an OR schedule. They said for 2 days they'd fix my spiral break and now I'm transferring, painfully, to NH with uber XL. They'll hold your food back, tell you its for surgery, hold your day time medications back, and not give you proper pain medication. My tibia and fibula literally snapped off and it was not even a 2nd thought to them. The staff are very young, uncoordinated, and completely overwhelmed. Leave or DO NOT COME HERE if you need immediate trauma surgery!!! I had it fixed in NH the day after i arrived in state.

Horrible, after waiting for 9 hours with extreme pain in my waist, fever and headache, I was finally called inside to see the doctor. No blood test , no urine test and was told to buy tylenol over the counter and left after 5 minutes . I was so disappointed and left with my pain.

Been here 5-6 hours and still haven’t been seen and the doctors verbally abused an elderly patient threatens to call the cops on them. And they’re being actively rude. This is not how doctors should behave.
