I have very mixed options about Yale hospital. I went in for fluids and anti nausea medicine since I had the stomach flu. I decided to refuse a urine test because I didn’t think it was necessary for the care I needed. I then was interrogated and almost forced to give a sample. The doctors and nurses here don’t always understand why you choose to refuse things so be prepared for the multiple conversations you have to have. Other than this, the care I received was good.

Came in with scary high blood pressure and tightness in the chest.... I've been waiting for 5 damn hours. My husband and child had to go home because it was so late. I'M STILL SITTING HERE BEING TOLD IT'S NOW DOWN TIME AND THINGS ARE SLOW MOVING. WHAT?!?! High blood pressure and chest tightness.... this is NOT how you treat emergency room patients!! I ONLY gave 2 stars because of the care you've given my son in the PICU.... that's it. This is abysmal operating practices.

I WISH I could give a negative star rating meaning stay away from Yale New Haven Hospital and any of its affiliates. ? If you come to Yale New Haven and should you need surgery plan on being discharged prematurely going home in pain ? with no follow up and one will have to go back to a hospital after you are discharged but DON'T come back to Yale. Doctors are primadonna's. One will never hear from them during or after procedures and you will never be able to reach them SHOULD you have questions. Administration does not care about the patient or the families. It's the top down effect in the sense that upper management trains every staff member below to operate as a robot. ? patients have no voice. This Hospital operates with the mentality of don't do as I do do as I say meaning the patient is not heard and the family members are not acknowledged. The neighborhoods 1 block away from hospital are unsafe and parking is obsolete.

The emergency room at you has dramatically upgraded, not just a facility, but with the people who work there the nurses are extremely Attentive and they really show that they care. I was seeing here a few days ago with a life-threatening emergency and they all handled me with such great care down to the PCA’s. Keep up the great work.

I have been to the hospital three times this week !!!!! Just for them to have me wait 4 hours TO NOT BE SEEN ! The second day I came back I traveled all the way to Gillfords hospital bc I got a call saying the wait would be 20 minutes !!!!! I drove 45 minutes to be seen !!!! I waited 3 hours to be seen !!! People who came after me got seen before me !!!! Today I went for my child ! MY CHILD !!!! And they had us in a room for 3 hours with no doctor or nurse available. YALE NEW HAVEN HOSPITAL YOU NEED TO DO BETTER OR HIRE MORE PEOPLE WHO CARE TO HELP ! . This is ridiculous

This place so typical. Our hospitals are not for healing. These professionals are not healers. They are clones always going by the book. So much so I was there three hours only to be told I'm fine. Even tho I'm clearly not. Sadly this is what medicine is now. Go somewhere else trust.
