Lo peor de lo peor no tienen empatía ni sensibilidad hacia los pacientes y las enfermeras y el personal médico so muy inresponsable y muy inegliigente con la atención médica a los pacientes que acudimos a la sala de emergencia del hospital de Rhoad Island y se creen que están bregando con animales,porque tal parece que estudiaron la profesión equivocada y yo tuve muchas experiencias desagradable con esa sala de emergencia,porque soy Persona que padesco del corazón y de hipertensión cardíaca y conmigo un montón de veces a Sido inrespinsable en brindarme un buen servicio médico,tienen que corregir muchas fallas y ponerle más supervisión a las enfermeras inrespetuosa que tienen gracias y yo no tengo,porque llamarlos a ustedes,porque los que están cometiendo las faltas es su personal.ok.gracias.

Llegue con una persona arrollada y el turno al llegar lo tomo como si no pasara nada! La pusieron siendo arrollada como un dolor leve! Desde las 8 pm la llamaron casi a las 6 am ya cansada de repetirle lo mismo! Una de las enfermeras SHAROLINE, no me dejo ni entrar con ella cuando todos los pacientes entraban con acompañantes por el simple hecho de quejarme de la falta de respeto hacia los que venimos con una emergencia! Solo se sientan a hacer chistes q hasta la cortina cerraron al decirles! Personas han esperado 14 horas para ser atendidos por un médico!!!! Me encantaría ver a sus familiares venir con una emergencia y que los dejen en esa espera absurda a ver cómo se sentirían!

Funciona como hogar de homeless y personas sin real emergencia. Nada recomendable para personas que llegan con AUTÉNTICA emergencia.

Another great experience with this er. Went to the hospital as free experiencing dizziness and vomiting after I received stitches in my face from a previous injury. I waited for hours 3 hours. I finally was taken in and was placed in a hallway, which how is that HIPPA complaint? Where is the privacy? Because I was in the hallway, my husband couldn't come with me. So I sent my daughter out with the nurse to sit with my husband. He was very confused about why he was being denied access to me. I am unsure of what happened but the nurses ended up telling him to take my daughter and leave because it was an adult er. Which was a flat out lie. It's was 1 in the morning and I had no interest in walking home feeling the way I was feeling so we left without treatment. The nurses were rude and threatening, they made me feel unsafe. Not the quality of nurses I would want working with sick/mentally ill patients no compassion at all. I will never step foot back into this ED. I was in and out of Miriam Hospital in two hours the following day and was treated/spoken to like an adult throughout my visit, not a degenerate. Where is management and who is dealing with these complaints? This hospital does not care about patients they care about money.

Went to ER at my primary drs request. Chest pain and shortness of breath. 3 hours later they put an IV in and took some blood. Then, back out to the waiting room for another to2 hours. An arrogant nurse came out and said " The wait is really long. You can leave if you want to"! Are you kidding. I had them pull my IV and went home! Hope I don't die tonight!!!!

I came in at 12:45am for a persistent irregular heartbeat. I was seen briefly to get info and vitals, then sat in a waiting room with other miserable, tired people for 5 hours, at which point I was called in and placed in a freezing cold room with unbelievably bright lights shining on my face and only a rock hard examination table and an uncomfortable chair to sit on. I stayed in this room for 3 more hours, with no one checking on me, and noises of crying, moaning and coughing around me.

When I finally saw the doctor he was completely dismissive of my symptoms and ordered some rote tests without listening to my actual medical issue. He inferred that it was all in my head. I was then taken to another freezing room with no hospital bed, just a hard, uncomfortable recliner and a TV with World's Most Evil Killers playing loudly on it and no remote in sight. Good for the psyche.

A nurse came in to draw blood and perform an EKG. A PA came in to talk to me for 2 minutes to explain what was going to happen (a chest x-ray and bloodwork). After the tests I was sent back in the room. I waited for 2 more hours alone in the dark room. No one came to check on me, and nobody offered me food, even though I'd been there for over 9 hours and awake for almost 24 hours.

A nurse finally came in to tell me I would be discharged soon. The tests had come back normal. I was still experiencing symptoms, so no problem had been solved. No doctor came to speak to explain anything. I was told that a chest heart rate monitor would be required to wear long term to detect any heart rhythm abnormalities. So basically, I was put through a traumatic experience for no reason. After getting my discharge papers, I made a bee-line for the exit. I couldn't get out of there fast enough.

I'm not exaggerating to say that waiting in the first freezing room was akin to torture. Literal torture. The freezing cold room, the bright lights in my face, no comfortable place to sit or lie. The inmates at Guantanamo Bay had it better. I wouldn't let my dog stay at this place, never mind another human being.

I'm not blaming any of the workers. Most of the ones I encountered were good-natured and seemed to be just trying to do their jobs (with the exception of the doctor I saw who appeared to get his degree out of a Cracker Jack box).

In summary, if you want to wait for HOURS and HOURS, be ignored, minimized, and coldy dismissed, this is a great place to go if you're experiencing an emergency. Unfortunately, I can't leave zero stars. Going to this ER will be sure to shorten your Lifespan.
